Illumination

Saturday 6th February 2010

I had a real desire to get out and about this weekend, but the cloudy skies were a bit of a disincentive. So it seemed like an ideal opportunity to practices some flash photography.

I headed for Avebury in the afternoon, and after some typically awful food at the Red Lion - a legend in all the wrong ways - I wandered up to West Kennet Longbarrow. The dramatic portal stones of the barrow seemed perfect for what I had in mind. I took the following shots with one flash unit on camera, and a second flash unit remotely triggered, illuminating the stones from a second angle.
