Svein Forkbeard: 1013-1014
In 1013AD, Svein led an invasion force in retaliation against Æthelred's ordered massacre of all Danes in England. He was subsequently accepted by England's nobles as their king, after Æthelred fled to Normandy. Crowned on Christmas day, he held the throne for just five weeks, and died in February 1014AD.
